Any skill level. Work at your own level. In this 4 week class, new students will learn the fundamentals of working with clay on the potter’s wheel as well as handbuilding techniques. Students will walk through the entire ceramics process of throwing, building, surface decoration, firing, and glazing.

Intermediate Students can work at their own skill level. The Process is the same. Classes are small so everyone gets attention.

Clay, glaze, and shared studio tool use is all included in the class fee. Classes are subject to rescheduling due to inclement weather.

Schedule starting the first week of the month:

Week 1: throwing/centering on the wheel/ for beginners/others work independently

Week 2: trimming/additions/handles/throwing-if a continuing student

Week 3: hand-building basics/trimming finishing for bisque

Week 4: glazing *** in December our 4th class falls on Christmas Eve so we will give you the opportunity to join another class THAT WEEK in order to keep our schedule on target. You will have several options to choose from. Also anything made in December will NOT be fired by the 25th. Work will be out mid-January.
