A one of a kind firing experience. Choose 2 of our pre-made pots and try your hand at glazed work or horse hair finish. We’ve got everything you need for an enjoyable, exciting evening.
You MUST wear Non-Flammable clothing. No polyester or synthetic materials. Long pants and closed toed shoes are a required. No bare skin, ankles, legs, or arms. Long sleeve cotton clothing is best. We have gloves for handling lids, etc. This is a smoky, messy process so you will smell like a bonfire when finished.
Arrive at 5pm to choose your pots and apply glaze.
Firing times are approximate
5:30- load kiln
6:00 Kiln starts and we relax. ask questions, talk, knit, enjoy snacks
7:15 Kiln approaches temperature- roles assigned and prep.
7:30 Exciting unloading into combustible material chambers- Gloves, heavy aprons, leggings etc.
8:00 Reduction of pots and unloading of chambers
8:30 cleaning, scrubbing, admiring, ooh-ing and ahh-ing, photos
8:45 Yard is cleaned up, glazes put away
