This scholarship fund is dedicated to my daughter, Hazel. In her short time with us she modeled giving back to communities in need. We want to continue her work in a way that compliments what we already do. She spent many happy hours in the studio as a child. She spent time making art with children who were homeless in the Dominican Republic.

We will be working in partnership with Gallant Therapy Services (GTS) whose mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with developmental delays, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and Autism. We have several artists who are excited to begin work in clay. They will be able to create work and sell their work at their new gallery in Hallowell.  They will learn from our studio how to be professional ceramic artists giving them an opportunity to earn money and become more independent. 

We are also working with the CONY High School Ceramics II class this year. They recently had some severe budget cuts and the program has to find ways to continue their work reaching into the community. For years they have been hiring area potters to teach during 'wheel week'. Now is the time to support them!
