Classes will continue the same format in 2024. Usually M, T, W 6-8:30pm Th 10am-12:30 and Sa 10-12 (groups up to 6) with Individual ‘try it’s’ on Saturday night 5-7pm.

Always wanted to try the potter’s wheel? Sign-up for our Individual Try-It Night. With the help of a teaching artist and some clay, you’ll be shown how to center and pull the clay up to make a vessel. Great for families and friends! KIDS are welcomed with an adult.
$75 per person includes a 2-hour session and one or two finished pieces. Depends on how you do! If you make more than 2 and love all the lumpy children equally and want to keep, each additional piece is $10.

Finished work will be ready for pick-up after 4-6 weeks during regular class times or by appt. Usually mid-month the month following your class date.
*** Special Note*** The wheel requires physical strength and may not be suitable for persons who would be considered frail or injured. Please use your own discretion.
In this 4 week class, new students will learn the fundamentals of handbuilding. Students will walk through the entire ceramics process of slab making- throwing and slab roller usage, we’ll cover sculpting practices, coiling and pinching methods as well as surface decoration, firing, and glazing. Hand-builders are welcomed to work independently as needed.
Intermediate Students can work at their own skill level. The Process is the same. Classes are small so everyone gets attention.
Clay, glaze, and shared studio tool use is all included in the class fee. Classes are subject to rescheduling due to inclement weather.

This is a 4 week class starting on the first week of the month.
In this 4 week class, new students will learn the fundamentals of working with clay on the potter’s wheel as well as handbuilding techniques. Students will walk through the entire ceramics process of throwing, building, surface decoration, firing, and glazing.
Intermediate Students can work at their own skill level. The Process is the same. Classes are small so everyone gets attention.
